Here’s how to turn a dollar store heart shaped box into a purse! They make really cute Valentine’s Day gifts by stuffing the purse with candies or flowers and leaving it hanging on your family/friend’s front door knob. 😍 Wouldn’t that be such a cute surprise for them?!
Supplies:
- Heart shaped box
- Any material to use for the strap (ribbon, fabric, chain)
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Thumb tack or thick needle
- Small piece of flexible wire (I used floral wire)
*Optional: Beads, pearls or anything you would like to decorate it with!
Directions (Video tutorial below)
- Cut a hole on the top of the box for the opening of your purse.
- Poke a hole on the sides of the box with a thick needle or thumb tack.
- Use a small piece of wire to weave through from the inside first, then attach your purse strap, then weave the wire back through the hole. On the inside of the purse, twist the wires together and flatten to the sides. Use a hot glue gun to secure and cover sharp edges.
- Hot glue the lid on
- Decorate your purse with any kind of pearls or beads. (I used a cheap pearl necklace I found at the dollar store).
