HOW TO THROW A FABULOUS GALENTINE’S DAY PARTY

Valentine’s Day is not just about celebrating love with your partner. It’s also about celebrating the supportive girlfriends in your life, so it’s time to grab your besties and get ready to throw an epic Galentine’s Day party!  From the food to décor, I’ve got you covered to host one memorable celebration.

On the Menu

Fondue is very nostalgic and brings a fun social aspect to a party. It’s easy to prep with minimal work, and above all fairly inexpensive. Also, anything dipped in chocolate tastes amazing, am I right?! It really is the safest route! There are all different kinds of fondue machines out there, but my suggestion is this showstopper Salton fondue fountain. It will definitely make a statement at your party and it also doubles as a centerpiece.

The dipping options are endless!  You can get creative or keep it simple.  I served a bit of variety – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, pineapple, and apples.  The second round I brought out pretzels, marshmallows, cake, and bananas.  I used the Kitchen Basics Tidbit Serving Set to serve all my dippers.  The beautiful bamboo tray made it easy to transport the little dishes from the kitchen to the dining table. They’re also the perfect size for an intimate setting.

Setting the Table

You can never go wrong with classic dinnerware. You don’t have to have fancy china to make your table setting look fabulous.  I love the Brilliant Urban White Porcelain SetIt’s simple and chic with a modern flat profile. Perfect to use daily and stylish enough to use when you have company over.  To give this dinner set a little oomph I added festive napkins for colour and topped them with a simple white carnation.

Cutlery isn’t necessary for a fondue party if you have fondue forks, but if not, the INSTYLE Fairmount gold flatware is a gorgeous choice. They immediately bring elegance to all your dinner parties, so if you love hosting, this set is a MUST!

Wine is an excellent choice to serve with chocolate fondue.  A number of dessert wines go well with milk chocolate, like Riesling or Muscat which will stand up to the distinct milk chocolate flavours.  I served my wine in the cutest iridescent wine glasses by InStyle. They are also available in a regular stem wine glass too. I love the unique shape to them and the iridescent colours give off the perfect feminine touch for Galentine’s Day.

Décor

I added a couple more decor pieces to tie the whole look together. Balloons and flowers are Valentine’s Day staples, so I had to sneak in some heart balloons and pink roses!  I also scattered shiny red paper hearts all over the table, which are super easy and quick to make at home.

I hope this inspires you to celebrate all the supportive girlfriends in your life.  Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day full of lots of LOVE!

XO
