If you guys have never heard of Legrand before, you really need to check out their innovation lighting and controlling systems! I’ve been wanting to install dimmers in my living room for the longest time and when I came across the adorne collection, I immediately knew I had to have these. All their switches are very unique and modern and they also have so many cool options for plates, including custom ones to match your current paint colour or wallpaper! A simple upgrade of a light switch can really make a huge statement and so far I have been receiving many compliments on how fancy they look. I upgraded three different rooms in my home and I’m so pleased with the outcome. Today I am revealing my before and after pictures and my thoughts on the product.
OFFICE/GUEST ROOM – I originally wanted dimmers in this room but unfortunately with my condo building and the particular dimmer I wanted, it was not possible, but I am so in love with the end result of my second choice. I decided to go with a plain switch paddle and went bold with the wall plate. I have a lot of gold accents in this room, so the brushed brass plate fits perfectly. What a difference it makes!

BATHROOM – My bathroom switch is a 2-Gang, so I went with a regular switch for the fan and a motion sensor switch for the light. I love that I can wash my hands and leave the room without turning off the lights. I know my guest will appreciate that too! The motion sensor is also great for a children’s bedroom as they often forget to turn off the lights.

LIVING ROOM – Ok, now onto my favourite reveal! I chose the touch dimmers for the living room since this is where I spend most of my time during the night as I wind down. I not only love the aesthetics of low light in the evening but did you know that according to research, dimming the lights can actually help improve your sleep?! Bonus!
This switch design is beautiful; made out of translucent glass. With just a tap of a finger you can turn the lights on/off and dim by holding down the arrows on the side. As you can see from my pictures, my accent wall is covered in marble wallpaper, so the custom wall plate bends well for a uniform look. If you don’t have wallpaper, you can personalize the plate by matching your current paint colour. Pretty, cool eh? Also, the plates come in a dozen different finishes, including a variety of luxurious metals. It is truly one of a kind and such an easy upgrade.

*Tip – Make sure to read carefully which dimmers are compatible with your voltage and light bulbs before ordering. Also, I suggest you hire an electrician for installation if you are unfamiliar with installing lights. From my experience living in a condo building, they were pretty difficult to install. You can contact customer service to help you with any questions. I found them to be very eager in answering all my questions quickly and were so helpful in troubleshooting my dimmers.
